Skyping with Marianne Malone, the Author of Sixty-Eight Rooms

Marianne Malone visited all of us at Wilson Elementary this past week! Mrs. Malone talked about her writing process, where she finds inspiration to write, what she likes most about writing and what she was like as a student. One student asked how long it took her to write a book. Mrs Malone responded that it took her "five months to write Sixty-Eight Rooms and nine months to edit Sixty-Eight Rooms." Wow! This was awesome for our students to hear. We stress how important it is to edit our writing and to make our final pieces their best; it was great that Mrs. Malone reiterate the importance of editing your writing! Students asked Mrs. Malone many more great questions about her book.
